Having a cat indoors definitely prevents disease and injury. It is also easier to keep the cat clean and free from parasites and fleas. Once you have decided to con- vert your cat there is now turning back. The animal must be kept indoors at all times. Your Cat will become very vocal and complain to you, but you must be firm. First, take a small amount of dirt to mix with the cat litter until the cat gets used to the litter. Confine the cat to a room with the litter box at night. Buy or make a scratching post with a hanging toy on it. Buy catnip toys to keep the cat amused. Play with your cat and give him lots of affection. When he gets upset, pick him up and just cuddle. Ping-pong balls or plastic golf box is a great toy. If your pet is extremely dis- tressed and you would like him to have some outside time, buy a harness and leash and "walk the =; cat". Never leave a cat outside unsupervised on a harness and ~ rope or leash; cats are not like dogs and will jump to higher areas. They also can tangle them- selves around trees and other objects. balls in an empty cardboard tissue Schreiber's Rubber' Boot Tournament was held Canada Day Weekend with 13 local teams and one team from Thunder Bay par- ticipating.
