There are three groups: Emie & Bert - 3 & 4 year olds Tot Lot - 5 & 6 year olds Summer Day Camp - 7 to 12 year olds Registration forms have been distributed through the schools, or may picked up at the Recreation Office. Registration deadline is June 23. Swimming Program The Swimming Program is scheduled to start on July 4 July Session - July 4 to July 21 August Session - July 31 to August 18 Deadline to Register - July program - June 16 August program - July 14 Payment must accompany all registration forms and must be received prior to the deadline. Forms have becn distributed throughout the schools, or may be picked up at the Recreation office. Minor Ball / Soccer Minor Ball began on June 5. The Soceer Program will com- mence at the end of June. Players will be contacted by their coaches after teams have been drawn up. We are still looking for a Co-ordi- nator for this program, as well as umpires and coaches. If you are interested, please call the Recreation Office Men's Slowpitch Anyone wishing to play is asked to contact the Recreation Office at 825-3542. Schreiber Swimming Lessons The Recreation Committee is presently exploring the idea of holding some of the lessons at the Travel Rest Pool this summer. If you have any feelings on this sit- uation please contact the recre- ation office at 824-2317 so the information may be forwarded to the committee. Registrations for swimming lessons will be distributed through the schools once a deci- sion on where the lessons are to be held. I. Program The Terrace Bay/Schreiber Recreation Departments, in co- operation with the Ontario Sailing Association, will be offering this program to tcach the participants Basic Sailing on July 18th and 19th. To register contact the Recreation office at 825-3542. This program is open to children ages 7 to 13. Canada Day Several events are scheduled for this year's Canada Day Cclebrations. Please watch for the ads and participate in celebrating Canada's birthday this summer. Fall Programs We are still looking for instructors and ideas for our Special Interest Programs to be offered this fall and winter. If you have any particular interests or talents, please give us a call at the Recreation Office at 825-3542. Fall Fair We've had a great response to participating in this year's event. We are still reserving tables for the Fall Fair, scheduled for September 11, 1989. Chamber of Commerce Trade Show Terrace Bay's first Trade Show is scheduled for September 15 and 16. UPCOMING EVENTS June 14 - North Shore Director's - Board Room - 7 p.m. June 14 - Modelling - recreation Playground Program The Recreation Department will once again be offering a Playground Program this summer, Our Icaders will be Cathy Birch, Cindy Luke and Brenda Webb. If you have any ideas or would like more information contact any one of the leaders or call the recre- ation office at 824-2317. A regis- tration form will be distributed through the schools sometime in June. July 1st The Recreation Committee will be organizing some activilics in town for the children on Saturday, July 1. If any group or individual would like to assist in the organization of the celebra- tion please contact the recreation office. Ball Park The Recreation Committee asks the public co-operation in keeping all children outside the fence when adult games are in progress. We do not want to see anyone injured especially a youngster that does not know any better. All Night Ball Tournament Schreiber Parks and Recreation Committee welcome everyone to their Summer All Night Extravaganza and Pyjama Party on Saturday, June 17 at the Ball Field.
