Minor Ball Minor Ball started on Monday, June 5th. If you haven't becn contacted, please call the Recreation Office at 825-3542. Minor Soccer The Minor Soccer Program will commence in Mid-June. Players will be contacted by their coaches as to-their team and schedule. Schreiber Schreiber won this year's Fun Run with the most participants per capita. The Recreation Department would like to thank all of those who participated. Coaches are special people - dedicated to helping athletes to develop their full potential, to improve their skills and to achieve accomplishments of which they can be proud. Together the Federal and Provincial governments, amateur sport associations and corporate sponsors will ALL NIGHT BALL Tournament on Saturday, June celebrate 1989 as the Year TOURNAMENT 17th from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. of the Coach ~ to give Schreiber - Parks and Some activities for the 1st recognition to coaches - for an unselfish commitment to their community. The Year of the Coach is a series of special celebrations, community events and programs in honour of coaching accomplishments. The Year of the Coach is ours to share - an opportunity for Canadians to congratulate coaches at all levels. Recreation Committee will be sponsoring an All Night Ball Annual Pajama Party include a dunk tank, corn roast, tug-0-war, Terrace Bay Men's Slow Pitch ANNUAL BENEFIT TOURNAMENT _SUNE 10th & 11th AAS Dance June 10 Terrace Bay Arena 9:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. Music by Stereo Club Proceeds donated to: Join these Celebrations and show your appreciation! For further information on the Year of the Coach contact: B.O.0.M. Program July 18th and 19th. The Terrace Bay/Schreiber Recreation Department in co- operation with the Ontario Sailing Association will be hosting the BOOM PROGRAM on July 18th and 19th. This two-day program will teach the participants the art of sailing. Students must be 7 to 13 years of age. Registration is lim- ited to 25. For registration forms and information contact the Recreation Office. . Swimming & Tot Lot Registration Registration forms will be cir- culated through the schools or Rec home run derby and base run. The tournament is limited to 12 teams. Register at the recreation office before 4:00 pm June 5. BOON PROGRAM The Schreiber/Terrace Bay recreation departments in co- operation with the Ontario Sailing Association will be hosting the BOON Program on July-18 and 19. This program is designed to teach the participants the art of sailing and is open to children ages 7 to 13 years. A maximum of 25 persons may attend. GYMNASTICS Due to some difficulty in receiving some required informa- tion for the gymnastics associa- tion we will not be offering the may be picked. up at the Recreation Office, within the next weck. MINOR BALL The minor ball program com- menced Wednesday, May 31. Action in" the Junior and Intermediate/Senior division is held at the Holy Angels Field 'during the week and games - scheduled every Saturday at the High School Field. T-Ball is held from 4:30 to 5:30 at the Public School Field every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Minor ball will continue to the end of June.
