Councillor Lorraine Huard 'attended the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Recreation Association Zone Conference which was held in Terrace Bay April 8 and 9. She said, "things don't look good in the recreation community world. Provincial officials seem to think the Wintario Program is slowly com- ing to an end." Recreation people who attend- ed the conference believe com- munity councils should band together and lobby the govern- ment to voice their concern over this situation. Huard said many people attending the conference feel their may be possible misuse of Wintario funds, or that these funds may be going to programs other than recreation. Once the snow clears up, Schreiber council will take a clos- er look at the proposed sites for the cemetery.
