Upcoming Programs Happy Hoppers (Evenings) There are still openings in the evening classes of HAPPY HOP- PERS. This program takes place on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. starting on Monday, March 20th. Photography We require a few more partici- pants for the Photography Course, to be started on April 2nd. This program will take place on Sunday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. This course will run until May 7th. Introduction to Fly Fishing April 15th is the date set for the introductory session on the basics of tying effective flies. Tools, hooks and various tying materials will be discussed. All tools and materials will be sup- plied. April 16th is the date for the presentation of the principles of fly casting. Video presentations and basic casts will take place. Must bring your own fly rod, reel and line. Call today. Kids Krafts Jeff Mikus' class is scheduled to begin on March 21st and will run for six weeks - every Thursday evening. He entered a chocolate box tin from 1914 which his father sent to his mother from France. The smallest Schreiber rec news box category was won by Jessica Hodder who entered a Japanese Paper Origami. The oddest box was won by Julia Lake, Bark box. The contest was part of Heritage Week and all boxes entered will remain on display at the Schreiber Library until the end of the month. who entered a 1938 Birch Upcoming Courses The following courses and workshops are being offered or will be offered if enough interest is shown: would like to offer a Minor Soccer and Minor Baseball pro- gram. Before the program begins we will be holding a public meeting . to discuss the organization of the club, setting up of times and the various age groups. We will be conducting this public meeting as * Lakehead University A Northern Vision REGISTRATION MEETING 1989 SPRING/SUMMER COURSES A registration meeting for courses to be offered in your community during the1989 Spring/Summer Session will be held in the following: Centre: Terrace Bay Date: Wednesday, March 29, 1989 Time: 4:00 P.M. Place: St. Martin's School To ensure the courses you want may be offered all students are urged to attend. Minimum enrolments for courses should be reached at this meeting. Arena - Hall Bookings With the winter season coming to a close the recreation depart- ment must schedule some major work to the arena and community hall that will require closing these facilities to the public. In order to schedule this work without conflicting with a number of anticipated community events, the recreation department would appreciate receiving all banquet and wind-up requests from local groups as soon as possible. If you do not get your request in quickly . you may find that the facility is not available for your event. The recreation department would appreciate the co-operation of all groups in this matter. Aerobics The recreation department can no longer offer an Aerobics pro- gram. We have no qualified instructor. If anyone is interested in becoming an aerobics instruc- tor please contact the recreation office. A group of interested persons are renting the hall on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for an informal exercise class. Anyone wishing to attend may do so. Classes will begin Tuesday March 21st.
