Manitouwadge, our friendly competitor has. challenged the community of Terrace Bay to the task of raising more funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation in the annual "DANCE FOR HEART" Fundraiser which is being held locally at the Terrace Bay High School Campus on February 16 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. All persons interested and over the age of 16 wishing to take - part are urged to pick up their sponsor forms at the recreation office. There will be prizes given for the wackiest Aerobics cos- tumes, most incentives earned, most money raised, and the Instructors choice. Aerobics Instructor Needed The Terrace Bay Recreation Department requires a Fitness Instructor to teach an afternoon aerobics type of fitness class, If -you have any qualifications in teaching aerobics or know anyone who would be available to instruct, please contact the Recreation Department at 825- 3542. Upcoming Programs Flower Arranging : A beginner program of Flower Arranging will be presented starting on March 15th to April 19th, every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Learn to colour co-ordinate, to choose containers and to understand basic principle in round, one sided, long low and contemporary centerpieces Fly Fishing (Tying Flies) and Fly Casting April 15th is the date set aside for the introductory session on the basics of tying their own locally effective flies. Tools, hooks and various tying materials will be discussed. Nymph, streamer and dry fly patterns will be made. All tools and materials will be supplied. April 16th will be the date for the presentation of the principles of fly casting. Tips on back, for- ward and roll cast and even the Advanced techniques of double hauling and use of shooting heads. Video presentations. Photography (Dave Chmara) Have you recently received a new 35 mm camera or do your just want to become more proficient with the one you own? If so set aside Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. commencing on April 2nd to May 7th. How to choose a camera, camera care, light and lens characteristics, filters, com- position, exposure, flash photog- raphy and accessories will be taught. Upholstery Small chairs or stools can be covered very conveniently by attending the upholstery course taking place from, Monday to Friday from April 3rd to April 14th. You will learn the basics of how to work with specific tools by taking the article apart, cutting the pattern and reupholstering the same article. Material and tools can be purchased from the instructor Second Session of Aerobics Classes The second session of Winter/Spring aerobics classes will be starting in the near future. The following information is the dates set for the beginning of the classes. MIXED AEROBICS - ' (Gwen Black) held at St. Martin School on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Starting date for the 8 week pro- gram will be March 20th.
