Terr Minor ball registration The ball season is upon us, and registration forms have been dis- tributed throughout the schools, and are available at the recreation Office. Minor ball is open to both boys and girls aged 5 to 18 years. Different groups involved this year are: T Ball,5 - 7 years; Juniors, 8- 10 years; Intermediates, 11-12 years; Seniors, 13-15 years; Teens, 16-18 years. Season commences on May 24, so please register before May 13. In order to operate the above leagues, we need the support of volunteer coaches and umpires. Let's hear from you! Men's Slow Pitch league Are you a new resident to Terrace Bay and wish to become involved in the Men's Slow Pitch League? Summer Programs The minor ball registrations have been distributed throughout the schools. The forms must be returned to the schools or the recre- ation office by Friday, may 13. The program will be held from Tuesday, May 24 to Thursday, June 30. Once the ball program has been completed, the recreation depart- ment will attempt to conduct a | minor soccer program. During this trial summer, we will operate it as a drop-in type program rather than a structured team competition. If these minor sport programs are to be successful, coaches, umpires and referees will be need- ed. Registration forms and informa- tion can be obtained by calling the recreation office at 825-3542. Use of ballfields We wish to inform all ball enthusiasts that any use of the ball fields must be made by first con- tacting the Recreation office at 825-3542. Leagues are requested to contact the rec office to schedule practice or make-up games. 'Radio-controlled' Car Club Looking for some adventure? Here it is!! the Recreation Department in terrace Bay is now taking names of individuals inter- ested in starting a radio-controlled Car Club. This club would be involved in racing, repair, maintenance and demonstration of radio-controlled cars. Swim Program The Recreation department will again be offered at the White Sand Beach. There will be two sessions; the first begins July 4 and the sec- ond July 25. The registrations will be distributed throughout the schools in early June. If you have any questions about the swim pro- gram, contact the recreation office. TISA Workshops Training in Sports Administration Workshops are designed to meet the needs of sports administrators, executive members and sport volunteers.
