HAPPY 26th STEVE GILLESPIE Mrs. Kathleen (Kay) Gillespie age 50 years of Schreiber passed away suddenly in hospi- tal on April 12th, 1988. Survived by her husband Bill, sons Wayne and Debbie Johansen of Thunder Bay, Kelly of Thunder Bay and Ken 8&8 Don of Schreiber, 3 grandchildren, brother John Parker of Toronto, sisters Marion of Toronto and Ann of Barrie. Also survived by mother-in-law Agnes Gillespie of Sault Ste Marie, sister-in-laws Marie & Joe Elliot of Hawk Junction, Evelyn and Delbert Vye, Edith and Jack O'Leary, Eva and George Milne all of Sault Ste Marie, brother-in-law Bob and Norma Gillespie of Montreal. Predeceased by son Ronald in April of 1982. Rested fiat St. Andrews United Church Schreiber. In October 1987, Beverly Legault of Rossport and Linda Regis of Terrace Bay, both mem- bers of Professional Secretaries International(pSi), Thunder Bay chapter, felt there was potential on the North Shore to form a chapter of their own. They contacted everyone they knew who worked as a secretary, or in a related field, and a meeting was scheduled for November 1987. The response was one of enthu- siasm and excitement. A small business meeting was held to appoint an executive for a period of 90 days with election of officers held in Feb. of this year. The first official business meet- ing was called to order on Jan. 13. The first priority was deciding and selecting a name for the new chap- BAXTER Mrs. Betty Baxter of Schreiber passed away peacefully in hospi- tal on April 10, 1988. Survived by her husband Russ, sons and wives - Wayne & Lynda, Jim & Alanna, and Don & Karen. Grandchildren Wendy, Judy, Cindy, Brad, Rachel and Brian. Also survived by her mother Theresa, of Brandon, Manitoba, sister Christine (Mrs. J. Morris) brothers Cyril, Arthur, Albert, Reg and Ted Yates. Also sister-in- laws, neices and nephews. Predeceased by her father Tom Yates of Killarney, Manitoba and brother Jack of Terrace Bay. Funeral services were held on April 12, 1988 at 2 p.m. from St. John's Anglican Church. Interment Schreiber cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Keating, Bob Krause, Brian Birch, Bill Campbell, Wayne Tessier and Doug May. Attending from out of town were Art Yates, Ted Yates and Ron Morris.
