Visitors are invited to Moose Lodge 1752 on Centennial seg: February 14, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Centennial guests will have the opportunity to see the lodge facilities, learn about its community service work, its benefits to citizens of the community and the overall program of the moose. The Moose Lodge Centennial Sunday celebration also serves as a tribute to Brotherhood Week. Moose Lodge 1752, in dedication of Brotherhood Week, is sending its Centennial Celebration. The Loyal Order of Moose is composed of 1,772,000 men and women throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. The organization is well-known for its care of children in need at Mooseheart, a 1,200-acre cam- us in Illinois, and its care of the elderly at Moosehaven in Orange Park, Florida. : The Terrace Bay Lodge was started back in 1954 and now has approximately 300 members. We are involved with and support a wide range of community activities and in the past year have donated in excess of $4,000 to various groups and organizations. Both elementary schools of Terrace Bay were part of the contest. 1st place in the Gr. 3, 4 and 5 category was Meghan Jowitt; Honourable Torch posters mention goes out to Steven Lefreniere, Adam Sutherland and Dan Herculson. K.Lusk photo Schreiber Recreation Department Mixed Volleyball The recreation department has, as of Jan. 14, not received enough names to organize this event. We will keep trying to get a mixed volleyball league started. Anyone interested in playing recreational volleyball one night per week should contact the recreation office at 824-2317. Tae Kwon Do Due to the great response of. this program, Joe has agreed to run a club out of Schreiber. Instruction will be held each Tuesday and Wednesday from 8- 9 p.m. at the rec complex until the end of July 1988. This is a very exciting sport and is open to anyone ages 10 and up. To register please come to the centre on Tuesday, January 5, at 8 p.m. or come the complex on Tuesday or Wednesday evening to talk to Joe.
