I have met some really wonderful people who in turn gave me the confidence to tackle any typing job that came my way. My husband, Daniel, my children Jonathon, Richard and Kristen will be making a new start in Sault Ste. Marie. Although we will truly enjoy the opportunities available in a bigger centre, we will certainly miss many aspects of small town living. For those who require a typist after the 30th of January, I recommend Taina Baker at 825-3660. She has a lot of experience in serving the public with her typing skills in Thunder Bay and respects confidentiality. Proud grandparents are Eva & Alvin Scott of Thunder» Bay and Lillian and Frank Sechesky of Terrace early spring and the return of our feathered friends and the flowers. I hope our resident gardener Cliff Barker will be able to take care of our garden again this year; we sure enjoyed some nice fresh vegetables last year. If I may at this time, I would like to invite more of you to come to the home on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. to play cards with our residents. We have lost a few ladies; one moved away and one broke her arm, which makes card playing a bit difficult. So how about some of you town folks paying a visit to Birchwood. I am sure you will enjoy yourselves. We were all very sad to read the notice in the paper that Dr. Adey is unable, at present, to be in his office, but we all wish him a speedy recovery and hope he will soon be back to work; we will pray for him; we love and need you Dr. Adey. May God Bless. We had our monthly birthday party on Jan. 21; our hostesses for this event were the Birchwood . Ladies' Auxiliary. ! These devoted ladies work and plan events for each month of the year and we owe them a big vote of thanks for all they do. After birthday cake and coffee, we enjoyed playing bingo; it was an enjoyable afternoon. Our birthday kids this month are Walter Dainio, Melvin Cady and Bruno Grizans. We wish them a happy Birthday. Not much more news for this week so I'll close for this week with this last little remark; "Remember, Love is blind but the neighbours aren't." Until next time,
