Scheduled resi- dential garbage collection is provided on Tuesdays and Fridays. There is no specified limit to the number of items that will be picked up provided they meet the guidelines. The township will also provide, on a case-by-case basis, special pick-up for items which cannot meet the above requirements. In addition, spring clean-up collections are carried out to keep Terrace Bay clean. Township public works personnel are not obliged to pick up garbage if the garbage is not: READILY ACCESSIBLE - residential garbage must be placed at the edge of the street and at approximately the road grade ( not on top of high snow banks, etc.); - commercial/industrial garbage must be located such that the garbage truck can easily back up to within 5 fect of the garbage. PROPERLY CONTAINED - in boxes, garbage bags, or garbage cans; : -garbage cans Shall be no larger than 20 gallons, and shall have suitable handles or be otherwise easily lifted; -contents of garbage cans must freely drop out; -large packing boxes, crates, etc., shall be broken down and suitably bound or packaged; -materials such as cardboard, brush, etc., may be secured or bundled with twine; LESS THAN 75 POUNDS in weight for individual items; LESS THAN 5 FT. Fundraising workshop The Schreiber Parks and Recreation Department and the Ministry of Tourism and Recreation will be conducting a Fundraising Workshop' on Wednesday, January 13, from 7-9 p.m. This workshop is a must for any organization wishing to increase its revenues through well-organized fundraising events. Some of the areas that will be addressed during the workshop are sources, types, strategy development and unique new ideas. If you or your organization is interested in attending this work- shop, contact the office at 824- -pigp Computer Course This course will begin on January 13, 1988, at 7 p.m. at the Schreiber high school.
