Taylor vice-principal Our first school newspaper in a number of years has finally arrived. It is a very welcome addition to our school and it is being distributed for .25 a copy. If you want a copy, please contact the office at either campus of the high school. Remembrance Day services were held this past Wednesday at both campuses. In Schreiber, the students and staffyjoined with the town at services at the cenotaph. In Terrace Bay, a committee of students consisting of Cheryl Fowler, Micheline Soulliere, Shawn Prince, Nicole Legall and Tonya Roper put together a short . programme in the auditorium. A small group of students from the yearbook served coffee, cook- ies, tea and juice as a fund raising event at the recent concert series at the Terrace Bay campus. Karen Fournier, Rosemary Costa and Simon Pollard cleared $40 towards the $4,500 yearbook budget. Parents who would like to serve On a committee of students and teachers discussing solutions to problems we have had at high school dances are asked to leave their names at either high school office by Friday, November 20. Six names will be picked from a hat from those wishing to vol- untcer. Interim report cards have been sent home this week. They reflect student achievement as of Nov. 6. The Junior girls lost 45 to 20; the Senior girls lost 47 to 18. In volleyball, the Junior boys lost 2 matches to 1. The Senior boys won 2 match- es to 0. Many thanks to coaches Doug Roberts, Ted Hanley, Larry Fraser, Kerry Powell, Brad Bertin and Rob Thompson for a good season. On Friday, Nov. 13, the Lake Superior Senior boys' Volleyball team won the NSSSAA. West Division Volleyball Championship for the fourth con- secutive year. They defeated Nip-Rock High School two games to none by. scores of 15-12, and 15-11, in the best of three matches held at the Terrace Bay Campus. Each qame was a hard-fought contest right down to the final whistle. The Senior Voyageurs now advance to the NSSSAA final against the East Division champi- on.
