Paperdoll World By Bev Swanson I want a world which speaks the truth, so "what you see is what you get"; for future use let's teach our youth, what other's don't see yet; hypocritical deception which hides the true delusion, best describes the ones that bring an honest world confusion; I don't speak of the actors which we see upon a screen, I speak of real-life actors who are never what they seem; The paperdoll boys and paperdoll girls, that pollute their plastic paperdoll worlds; where no one's real and no one can feel, 'cause their so busy searching for . an image to steal; They put up shields to hide their faults, and lock their truth in guarded vaults; where life's a joke and life's a game, and none of them care 'cause they're all the same; I couldn't give you the time of day, for you're not real -- so go away; stay miles apart from the rest of the race, don't come back without a name or a face; The world would beat to a peaceful pace, if the "real self" took the paperdoll's place.
