About 70 members enjoyed a turkey dinner prepared by the members and served by the Schreiber Kinsmen and Kinnettes Club. These peo- ple also tidied up the mess and we appreciate this ser- vice. Our deepest sympathy to the Millers on the passing of Mr. Wes Miller. Also sympathy to the McBrides on the passing of Nova McBride. Many relations and friends attended the funeral. The regular meeting of the Holy Angels Catholic Women's League was held on Dec. 8. The treasurer reported on the success of the bazaar, and a report on a recent drug seminar con- tained several good pieces of information. It was noted that Holy Angels CWL was chartered in 1932 and that it was possible to have 50 year members. Under new business a discussion was held about changing the CWL bursary to Lake Superior High School. A motion was made to table this item for further discussion in January or February. We could get more information from Mr. Taylor. K. Stefuryk will convene the penny auction at Bir- chwood Terrace. She was pleased with the response from those who donated for this event. Mary Huard was presented with a service certificate in appreciation for her work with the CWL. Plans are being made for a Coffee Doo on March 17. There will be a day of reflection for members. Father Peter spoke and a decision was made to donate money for the criche at Pays Platt. The meeting was ad- journed and a Christmas Party was held, at which there was a nice lunch by Carmel Zborowski and her group. Draws were made for a six piece set of crystal, which was won by Marcia Buso. Santa arriv- ed from the North Pole for a gift exchange. There was lots of laughter and good cheer. Father Peter was presented with a birthday gift and cake. Thanks to all who helped to make the event a success. Our deepest sympathy to the Lidkeas on the passing of Mrs. Eileen Lidkea (nee Davis). Many friends and relations attended the funeral. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Pat Bourguignon for Christmas was Mr. and Mrs. George Miller and son Ray from Birtle, Manitoba.
