\ i Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, April 4, 1984, page 5 et Community News Ex Con 7 Visiting Lawrence Trafford is coming to the North Shore April 1st to 8th. We are fortunate to have this dynamic speaker for a week as his busy schedule usual- ly allows only one night per town. Formerly a_ peniten- tiary inmate, interna- tional drug dealer, an alcoholic and involved in organized crime, Mr. Trafford had an en- counter with Christ which changed his life. As a 'Born Again" Christian, he has dedicated his life to sharing the good news of his redemption with his fellow man. As an Evangelist, Mr. Traf- ford has been touring Canada, speaking to people and counselling them. He has a special con- cern for people of all ages who are trapped in the kind of life from which he was delivered by Christ however his programme promises to give everyone who at- tends, a realistic look at crime, Christ and redemption. The Terrace Bay Gospel Assembly ex- tends an open invitation to everyone of all ages in the area who are growing in Christ and those who remain skep- tical of the power of Christ and those who re- main skeptical of the power of Christ to hear Lawrence Trafford's story and witness the healing power of Christ. The marriage will take place April 28th at St. Elizabeth Church, Thunder Bay. Wabikoba Cottage Owners In late February, an article was printed in the local papers of Marathon, Manitouwadge and Ter- race Bay. G. Waghorn of Marathon contacted a surveying firm in Thunder Bay. This firm indicated it is willing to survey the lots for a fee of $375.00, providing the majority wish this to be done. Everyone was asked to _ indicate whether they wished to purchase the property fronting their land; they were also asked to in- dicate if they did not wish to purchase. If the land is leased, then an agreement with the Ministry to lease the frontage could be sought after. So far, no one has indicated that they do not wish to purchase or lease the frontage. This is strange, as only 12 persons indicated they are interested. 4 out of 17 Manitouwadge cot- tagers said "yes". 7 out of 12 Marathon cottagers have said "'yes", 1 out of 4 Terrace Bay cottagers have said "yes". This means that at the present time, only 12 out of a total of 36 are in- terested. If the proposal is to have any hope of success, we will have to have at least 85 to 95 per cent indicate "yes". Since the surveyors would do this work in May, there is not much time left to finalize any plan. Remember that the value of your cot- tage could be greatly enhanced with owner- ship of the frontage.
