Following adjourn- ment and God Save the Queen, a luncheon was served. St. John Berchmans Altar Society by ANNE TODESCO Plans were made for the Annual Christmas party when the mem- bers of St. John Berch- mans Altar Society met for their monthly meet- ing at the home of Mrs. Doris Legault on Thurs- day evening. There will be an exchange of gifts, buffet lunch and a pro- gramme of singing and readings. Mrs. Doris Legault chaired the meeting and led in the opening pray- ers and spiritual read- ings. The minutes and financial reports were accepted as presented. Under new business, a Mini-Bazaar was plan- ned to take place on Saturday, December 10th from 2-4 p.m. in the Community Hall. There will be a sewing and novelty table, a white elephant booth, and af- ternoon tea and a cake walk. Public Bingos were under discussion, re- garding the feasiblity of continuing to hold them. This business. was left over to further discus- sion at the December meeting. Correspondence was read and filed. Thank you cards were receiv- ed for flowers and cards from recently hospital- ized parishioners. Mrs. Prina Gerow in- vited the members to meet at her home for the December meeting and party.
