Fall Programs We still have room for a few more registra- tions in the following courses: Level I Theory Course for Coaches (Betty Tate) This Coaching Theory Course is open to coach- es of every sport. This Course will be offered the weekend of Novem- ber 4, 5 and 6. If this date proves unsuitable, we have an alternate weekend available. Christmas Crafts (Donna Mikeluk) This is for ages 8 to 12. It starts on Octo- ber 20, and the dead- line to register is Octo- ber 14. Learn to Skate (Bunny Singleton) This is for ages 3 and 4. It starts on October 17, and the deadline to register is October 12. Introduction to Piano Lessons (Mrs. Borrie) This course is being offered to both adults and children. Classes start on October 17, and the deadline to register is Friday, October 7. Photography (Terry Korzinski) This course starts. on November 9, and 'the deadline to register is Friday, November 4. Relaxation Workshop (Ed Kenney) We are hoping that we will receive a few more registrations for the Relaxation Work- shop. This course is due to start on November 12, with the deadline to register being Novem- ber 4. Shape, Exercise and Aerobics (Lisa Corrigan) There are still open- ings in this program. It started October 4. Stained Glass (Vivian Ludington) This program is due to start on Monday, Octo- ber 17, and runs for 6 weeks. The deadline to register is Friday, Octo- ber 7. Tatting (Loretta Fitzgerald) This unique fine lace the 95 ay course will be held at 20 Southridge Crescent. The first day of the course will be October 11, and the deadline to register is October 7. Bowling News We have received numerous calls on bowl- ing matters, and who to contact about them. The following is a list of contact people of the various leagues: Ladies' Monday Night Associa- tion - Bernice Pytyck, Ladies' Tuesday After- noon Association - Joan Greenwood, Men's Tuesday Night Assoc- ation - Chris Peterson, Men's and Mixed .Fun League - Reg Gagg, Mixed Friday Night League Association - Joan Greenwood. Open bowling is held Wednesdays from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The season is just underway, so if you are interested in joining one of the leagues, call one of the above. Winter Season a in Arena The regular season has begun in the Arena. A Master Schedule is posted at the Arena, and Open Skating times are: Monday - 1-2 p.m., Wednesday - 2-3 p.m. and 7-8 p.m., Thursday - 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., Fri- day - 1-2 p.m. and 7- 8:30 p.m., Saturday - 8-9 p.m., Sunday - 7-8 p.m. No Body Contact Hockey Are you 18 years of age or over, and inter- ested in participating in No Body Contact, No Slap Shot hockey? Recreation Membership The Winter season is here and Winter activi- ties have started, or are approaching their start- ing dates. The Recrea- tion Policy states that all users of the Recreation Centre must be Recrea- tion members, that is, holding a full member- ship, or a one-activity membership. One-acti- vity memberships are available for Curling, Bowling, Minor and Adult Hockey, Figure Skating, and Broomball. A one-activity member- ship runs for one year from the date of pur- chase, and entitles the holder to participation only in the activity for which it was purchased. No other facility privi- leges are available, as in a full membership.
