Profile... -- continued from page 3 When questioned as to his views on the P.C. par- ty and how he feels about the party, as to the role of creating good govern- ment representation for the North, Joe stated, "'The conservative frame of mind has shaped the development of Ontario more than any other influence. More than geography, family ties, population « or economic opportunities, the conservative ap- proach has dominated the history of our province. To be a conservative is to be a realist. A conser- vative accepts things and people as they are, not as some abstract philosophy. A conservative accepts what one can offer. He does not have ideal demands, whatever they may be. Conservatives base their judgement on ex- perience from the past, to act for the present and plan for the future. The vision that I have for this Lake Nipigon Riding is of a communi- ty of many different in- terests, working together to achieve a society where opportunity to better one's self is within everyone's grasp, and the chance to build a better life is everyone's oppor- tunity. Together we can make it happen. Together we can make it work!" Keep up the good work Joe!
