FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT MERCIER -- Mrs. Joyce Mercier, age 56, of Terrace Bay formerly of Port Arthur died suddenly, May 29, 1983 at The McCausland Hospital. Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth Boyd and Gertrude Barrett and brother Kenneith Jr. who died in infancy. Survived by husband Clarence and sons David of Deep River and Kevin and Gary still residing at home. Funeral services were held May 31, 1983, at the 'Community Church, Terrace Bay. Cremation to follow, with interment at the Family Plot at Riverside Cemetary, Thunder Bay. Instead of flowers we would appreciate it if you would send a donation to the Heart Fund. Page 2, Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, June 8, 1983 THANK-YOU Schreiber Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society would like to thank everyone who canvassed and those who donated during the April campaign, the total amount received as of May 30, 1983 was $2,770.65. The TBLFL's sea- son is off to a good start, with ten games having been played ~ out of the regular schedule. On May 18th Levesque took the Tootsies. in 4 innings with a score of 12-11. Winning pit- cher was Wanda Spencer. The second game of the evening saw Janod, with win- ning pitcher Cathy Cook, overrun Moores 17-5. The Royals took Kodila's 20-14 in May 30th's 6 o'clock game, and The Devils won the 7:30 game against Levesque with a score of 19-16. Winning pit- cher was Carrie Pytyk, and homeruns were scored by Wan- da Campbell and Astrid Kniepp. On May 25th Janod won their second game,. _this time overpower- ing-Levesque in three innings by. a score of 24-4. Winning pitcher was Cathy Cook. Next the Royals played Moores, winning 22- 5. May 30th saw Maureen Pytyk pitch- ing for Kodilas and bringing them to a 19-11 victory over the Tootsies. Despite the Point Summary GP Janod Moore's Levesque The Devils Kodila's Tootsie's Royals ONWNH FW Balls and Bats rain, Janod and the Devils played it out, giving Janod their third consecutive win. The score was. 20-2, and Cathy Cook was 'again the W.P. There was a close game on June 1. between Levesque and the Royals, with the Royals taking it 10-9.
