Page 14, Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, June 1, 1983 Mother-daughter ringette by LINDA FALZETTA On Sunday, May 15, the Terrace Bay Ring- ette League held their 1st Annual Ringette Banquet. They started out the evening with a welcoming speech from their President, Carol Waldenberger, followed by grace said by Connie Bryson. The players and their mothers then sat down to a buffet dinner which the mothers pre- pared. After this delici- ous meal, the President thanked the following: the players and their mothers for attending, the mothers for prepar- ing the meal, Mrs. G. Strassburger for or- ganizing the banquet, and the coaches for all their time and effort in working with the girls throughout the<season. Then came the awards. Linda Falzetta present- ed Tammy Boucher with the M.V.P. trophy, Carolyn McLeod pre- sented Kim Bryson with the M.I.P. trophy, Linda Sodaro presented Tanya Evoy with the goalie award, and _ Linda Kostiuk presented Bri- gitte Samp with the Sportsgal trophy. The trophies were ceramic ringette players made by Mrs. S. Broughton. Next came the 'dedica- tion to ringette' award donated by Linda and Ron Falzetta. Linda Fal- zetta presented this trophy and two small individual trophies to both of the winners, Jo- hanne Payeur and Carole Broughton. Then Carol Waldenberger presented the individual trophies that she and her husband, Roger, very generously donat- ed. This was a surprise that all the team players appreciated. The coach- es, Linda Falzetta and Linda Kostiuk, received beautifully inscribed plaques from all the girls. These were pre- sented to them by Tam- my Boucher and Carole Broughton. The evening was ended with Linda Falzetta thanking all the girls and their mothers for helping her to make ringette a success in Terrace Bay. ~~ 345-2307 © Appliances by Hot Point, Inglis, Jenn Air, Etc. © A complete Stock of Phone 824-2354 © RCA XL Colortrack TV .
