Aprilis Cancer Month The local Cancer So- ciety is hard at work on this year's campaign under the leadership of Chairman Mary Hale. Over fifty canvassers are knocking on doors in Terrace Bay this month asking for donations to help fight cancer. ' This year's cam- paign got under way with an organization meeting held at St. Martin's Church at the first of the month. Two films on organizing a campaign and how to canvass. were shown. The 25th Annual Convention of the USCO will be held in Windsor in August. A seminar will be held on May 5S at Confeder- ation College dealing with "Medications and the older adult.' A dele- gate will attend from the Chimo Club. The members agreed to join the Star Member- ship of the United Sen- ior Citizens Organiza- tion of Ontario. Bern Jacomb gave the card report. The Main- tenance Committee gave their report of repairs done to the Club rooms. Birthdays being cele- brated this month are Bern Jacomb and Loret- ta Cataford.
