Local archers competing included Kaari Pollard who placed Ist. in the Girls Jr. Free Style, Bobby Gendreau who won Ist. in the Boy's Acdet Free Style and Jeff Bonnema who placed 2nd. in the same event. Schreiber's Lorne Bourke took Ist. in the Men's Barebow, Jim Cornfield placed 2nd. and Gary Crozier 3rd. Archers from as Jar away as Dryden competed in the event. Duquette rink from Terrace Bay with skip - S. Duquette, third - M. Kennedy, second - R. Mitchell and lead - B. Norris. The Runner up rink was skipped by C. Cvit- kovich, with third - E. Zwir, second - L. Bougie and lead - S. Caron. Women of the Moose: Senior Regent Alice Yates presided at the regular meeting. Recor- der Sadie Benko repor- ted on the mid winter conference. Member- ship chairman Adiline Daley and her commit- tee of Betty Okanen, Bernice Williams and Paige Legacy will be in charge of charter night. Carmel Zborowski and Jackie Calder served a delicious lunch. Ski Club News: Lyle Nicol, senior champion of the Terrace Bay Ski Club was awarded his assistant ski instruc- tions rating. The 23rd Annual Ter- race Bay Men's Curling Bonspiel was held last weekend. Several local rinks made a good show. Jack Chapman lost on the last rock in an extra end in the A event to a Thunder Bay rink. Vic Fenton and Thor Olsen also battled to a last rock in the B event, with Fenton winning. Dick Baron's 'teacher's rink' was defeated by another Thunder Bay rink in the C event.
