Pam has already started a Rummoli group on Wednesday mornings and would welcome any interest in these groups. 11 was suggested a basket of small itéms, gift wrapp- ed, be collected for bingo prizes. Mina suggested a small charge might be made. There is no convener as yet for the St. Patrick's Day Tea, but there is a prior meeting on March 8th. At the close of the meeting, Pam Jones entertained with a beautiful song written commemorating the Year of the Child and with an additional verse for the elderly in our midst. SCHOOL NEWS On January 30th, the students of grades 4-8 of the Lake Superior Public School were treated to a concert by the Brass Company. The Brass Company is composed of three musicians from Toronto who play trumpet, French horn and trombone. The performance was both entertaining and educational. Each performer took a segment of the program to introduce his instrument to the students. Through the use of garden hoses, funnels, sea shells and their instruments, they explained how - brass instruments work. The Brass Company also performed selections from SeWeAeTe, Star Wars, Rocky and the classics. FIGURE SKATING NEWS FUN DAY COMPETITION will take place this coming Saturday, February 24 at 1:30 sharp. Skaters - it would be a good idea to be thers early enough to be prepared to go on: the ice at 1:30. During the last month, the Senior Skaters have been asked to submit names for the teams for Fun Day.
