It starts on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Public School (Art Room). This program will run every Thursday until the end of May. There's a registra- tion fee which will cover your supplies. Instructresses will be Donna Mileluk and Mrs. Darlene Bjorklund. Crafts such as Mac- rane, candlemaking, knitting, crocheting, etc. will be of fered. Anyone interested please register at the recreation office. If anyone is willing to instruct, help or supervise or assist the instructors please feel free to do so. FOUR WEEK PROGRAM This week is the last week for this four-week program. An- other four-week program will be starting again on Feb. 26 at the Public School Gym. Grades 3 & 4 will have soccer, Grades 5 & 6 will have floor hockey and Grades 7 & 8 are having basket -ball. A schedule will be distributed to the participants some -time this week. If anyone is willing to referee any of these activities, pleases phone the recreation office. Last week Team B and Team A from the Gr. 3 & 4 division won their games, Team A and Team C from the Grade 5 & 6 division won and Team B (boys) and Team A (boys) from the Gr. 7 & 8 took victories. Don't miss the champion games this week. Parents are invited to watch these activities. NORTH SUPERIOR SKI CHALLENGE: Have you and/or your family registered for the ski challenge. 1% all starts 10 a.m. Sat. Feb. 24, 1979 at Graham's fam, trails will be marked and properly supervised by the organizers. Once everyone has completed a lunch will be served.at the Pub- lic School Gym. If you haven't registered you can still obtain a form at the recreation office. HOCKEY POOL WINNERS: Rest. LeBlanc - Richard Cardiff - $5.; Michael Thrower Joe LeBlanc $15. West End Pool - Randy Kostecki $5, Terry 0'Driscoll $10, Bimbo Collinson $15. 1st Russian All Star Game: Rest. LeBlanc, Clayton Gordon $5, Toivo Hirt $10, Roger Rowatt $15. Feb. 10 All Star Game: Mayfair Hotel, School Teachers, Const. Men, & West End: Gordon Wilson $5., Jimmy $10, at the High School for persons aged 14 and up, music by Parti Sound of Thunder Bay, then Saturday, the 18 and over dance at the High School again Parti Sound will host. The Schreiber Metis Association are hosting two tournaments, one for broomball and the other road hockey. See Rita or Leo Tookenay for registering. Schreiber Parks and Recreation will sponsor many races for the elementary school students Friday at 1:30 p.m. on the High School grounds.. Some of the races are toboggan pull, three legged snowshoe race, snowball-on-a=spoon race, etc., then pre= pare yourselves for the earth ball game. Throughout the Funfest weekend the Kinsmen will be stalking those who are violating Funfest regulations and bringing them to the Kinsmen Kangaroo Kourt at 5 p.m. on Saturday the 10th in the High School Gym. Saturday will also be a day of Family participation. The more you take part in the more points you will gather if you place first, second, third. Activities will be kettle boiling, log=-piling, variety of races, etc. and possibly earth ball game, although points will not be given for the latter. If you are aged 10 - 13 years the Royal Canadian Legion will be hosting several one day tournaments in pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, please contact Curtis Martin or the Sports Comm= ittee for further details at this time. The finals for Road Hockey and Broomball are scheduled for Sunday. Motor Bike races are still being planned see Dan McGrath or Mike McGuire for entry regulations and forms. SCHREIBER CURLING CLUB OBTAINS $15,311.34 WINTARIO GRANT: Schreiber Curling Club members should be very proud these days, they just received notice that a $15,311.34 Wintario Grant will be coming their way within the next few days.
