His other pastimes involved caring for his own large garden and the grounds of Holy Angels Church all through the year. A Memorial Mass, attended by his many friends, was said on Tuesday, January 2, 1979, at 11 A.M. at Holy Angels Church, with Rev. H. Bartofski and Rev. Father F.J. Meyer co-celebrat- ing. Father Meyer, in paying respect to Denny, spoke of his many voluntary services to the church and Community. The sen- ior choir were in attendance with a solo by Mrs. Eva Gorden, "The 01d Rugged Cross" (Dennys favorite hym). : Interment was in Riversdale Cemetary, Théinder Bay, following Cremation. HUMI NI CKI : The funeral of Mr. Paul Huminicki, whose death occured in Terrace Bay Hospital, January 4th, 1979, after a lengthy i11- ness, was held in Holy Angels Church, Schreiber, on January 8th, 1979 at 2 p.m., Rev. H. Bartofski officiated. Mr. Huminicki was born in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba on March 1, 1913, he came to Schreiber in 1941, he retired from the CPR in February 1978, after 49 years service as a Locomotive Engin- eer. Survived by his wife Pauline, daughter Patricia, Thunder Bay and son Patrick, Winnipeg, Man. also survived by three grand- daughters Lisa, Danielle and Michelle Huminicki of Winnipeg. Predeceased by sister Christina in 1948, Father Hrynko in 1960 and Mother Anna in 1962. Active Pallbearers were: Harold Shack, David Huminicki, Walter [111jow, Tom Borutski, Mike McGrath and Bob Krause. Honorary Pallbearers were: Gordon McParland, Pat Guina, Frank Driscoll, Bill Kushnieryk, Archie McColeman, Austin Cos- grove, Tom Webb, Walter Lewicki, Harry Shack, Alex Furyk and Art Moorey. Mary and Wendel Boesch of Thunder Bay, Ont. MYRNA MCCUAIG HONOURED AT SHOWER Miss Myrna McCuaig was honored at a Bridal shower recently, held in Holy Angels Parish Centre Hall, receiving with Myrna was her Matron of Honor, Mrs. Audrey Morgan and Mrs. Winnie Campbell. Mrs. Irene Borutski was hostess, Servitors were Bonnie, Judy and Debbie Bourguignon, Carol, Linda and Barbara Huard, Joyce Gauthier, all nieces of the bride, and Pam Spikula. The guest book was circulated by Cecile Borutski. Attending the gift table was Mrs. Betty Ann Blier and Sharon Morgan also neices of the bride.
