JUNIOR BADMINTON AND JUNIOR BOWLING: Just a reminder that if you have signed up for either of these activities that the times and fees are available at the Recreation Office. MEN'S AND LADIES VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT: A Volleyball tournament is being held in Geraldton in early December. This tournament is open to men's teams and ladies! teams with the participants being 16 years of age and over. Anyone wanting to start a men's and/or ladies team or coach them should contact the Recreation Office for further details. There are prize monies for the winning teams. CLARIFICATION: To clear up the controversy regarding the ice time for practises offered by our Department to the Schreiber NORTH STARS; they were offered 11:00 to 12:00 at night and 7:00 to 8:00 in the morning, which they felt wére not suitable times. This was one of the major reasons the NORTH STARS are not oper- ating. We hope this will clarify the situation. CANADA WORKS GRANT: The Terrace Bay Recreation Department has been very fortun- ate in receiving a Canada Works grant of approximately $19,000.00 to do many clean-up and maintenance jobs throughout the Recreation Centre. We have hired four persons for approxi- mately 7 months. We hope this will improve the appearance of many areas of the complex. COMING EVENTS: Saturday, November 18 - Community Church Christmas Tea and Bazaar, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Community Church Hall.
