NOVEMBER 8, 1978 : TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 9 (2) (HOSPITAL IGTES The McCausland Hospital is a busy place. In the month of October, 247 cases were treated in the Emergency and Outpatient Department. Six newborn were delivered during the month, and there was a total of 43 admissions. We welcome to the hospital staff, Jean Fisher, who started work on November 6 as Lab. and X-ray Assistant. Representatives of the Board of Directors and the hospital staff attended a recent meeting in Marathon of the Thunder Bay Health Council. Staff members also represented the hospital at O.H.A. District 12 Convention in Thunder Bay during October. The Ontario Hospital Association's Annual Convention is being held this month in Toronto and representatives of the hospital staff will be in attendance. The fine weather we've enjoyed recently has contributed to good progress in the construction of the new hospital. The floors have been completed and work has started in putting up the studs for the walls. This week, too, work on the roof was begun, .
