Following prayers, Mrs. Leisander presided at the piano during the Hymn Sing. She welcomed the members and the secretary Miss Devona Leisander read the minutes and correspondence. A discussion was had on the purchasing of material for an altar curtain. Reports were heard on the adviseability of putt- ing new doors on the church porch. D. Leisander offered to shovel the church steps for the win- ter at the current rate of wages. A cash bingo was arranged to take place on Wednesday, November 1st. An interesting discussion was had on current events, namely the postal strike, postal services, vandalism in communities, possibility of street lights in the village and ways and means of raising funds for the upkeep of the church and graveyard.
