PAGE 14 : TERRACE BAY NEWS OCTOBER 4, 1978 MCCUAIG: Funeral Services for the late A.B. "Muggs" McCuaig, whose death occured in Thunder Bay on September 16th, were held in St. Andrew's United Church, Schreiber, on September 19, 1978. Rev. Brian Bigelow officiated, Mrs. Wendy Martin was the or- ganist, hymns chosen were "Holy God We Praise Thy Name" and "Amazing Grace". Honorary Pallbearers were Frank Walker, Joe Campbell, Charlie Holmes, Denis Neylon, Jack Mclsaac and Charlie Boon. Active Pallbearers were Earl Holmes, Lloyd McLellan, Pat Bol- an, Frank McKenna and Grandsons Pat and Mike Bourguignon. Interment was in Schreiber Cemetery. Mr. McCuaig was predeceased by his wife Minnie in 1968, two daughters Helen and Maureen and one son Bobby, in infancy and Grandson Roy in 1978. He is survived by two sons Jim McCuaig and Tom McCuaig of Thunder Bay, five daughters Sandy (Mrs. Pat Bourguignon), Doris (Mrs. Paul Gauthier), Betty (Mrs. Art Huard), Audrey (Mrs. Mike Morgan) all of Schreiber and Miss Myrna McCuaig of Thunder Bay, twenty-two Grandchildren, one Great Grand- child and many relatives in the immediate district and Eastern Ontario. "Muggs" who was 87 years of age, was born in Campbells Bay, Quebec, he came to Schreiber in 1906, and in 1908 he was employed by the C.P,R. retiring in 1965 as a Conductor, after 48 years of service. He was a Life Member of the Schreiber Curling Club, having been an avid curler for many years, until 111 health made it impossible, he was also an avid fisherman. Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Tom McCuaig, Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCuaig, Myrna McCuaig, Mr. and Mrs. Harry White, Mrs. Dorsa Hepburn, Mr. and Mrs. Len Pay- ette, Roy Payette, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McCuaig, Mrs. T. Luck and Mrs. H. Chenier all of Thunder Bay; Mr. and Mrs. KT. McCuaig, Heron Bay and Frank McCuaig of Capriol.
