CHRISTIAN WOMEN'S CLUB The Schreiber-Terrace Bay Christian Women's Club which is new in this area will have their first in a series of monthly Dessert meetings Tues- day, September 26th, at 7:15 p.m. at the Canadian Legion in Terrace Bay. Featured on the program will be "A sharp edge on Ski Fashions and equipment" pre- sented by Bill Scollie owner of "THE SKIHAUS" of 'Thunder Bay. Mrs. Margie Fulton, Soprano, from Terrace Bay will present vocal selections, accompanied by Mrs. Judie Cooper from Schreiber. Miss Bonnilee Ashley, National Representative for Christian Women's Clubs, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will be the guest speaker. Miss Ashley will relate how she overcame fear in her life. She has spent much of her last six years' time working in Ontario establishing these groups. Assisting her in estab- lishing the Club in Schreiber-Terrace Bay is Karen Porter, from Portsmouth, Virginia. Mrs. Lottie Kelsall, new to Schreiber, was hostess for a Coffee meeting in her home on Monday afternoon, September 11th where some 18 women of the area attended to introduce and launch Christian Women's Club to this area. The women were most enthusiastic about the Club starting here. This Club is part of an internatiorial organization with Can- adian headquarters in Toronto and international headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. The organization is inter-church and non-sectarian, having over 1,800 established chapters in Canada and the United States, plus approximately 55 in 22 foreign countries. The monthly meetings are unique in that there is no formal membership or dues. Special features are a delightful part of each program, along with the best in musical talent. Well versed inspirational speakers challenge on -to: seek the better things in life.
