This meeting is open to all interest -ed girls wanting to play,coach or officiate Ringette. At the meeting, an executive for 1978-79 will be chosen and ice time requirements will be discussed as well as the upcoming Ringette clinic which is scheduled for Terrace Bay on September 9th, 10th and 11th. The Ringette Club can't survive without parental contribu- tions. If yeur daughter is playing Ringette, please take an active role in the organization by attending the meeting.' Reg- istration for Ringette will take place on Thursday, September 21st, at the Recreation Centre. RINGETTE CLINIC: The Terrace Bay Recreation Department in conjunction with the Ontario Ringette Association will be sponsoring a clinic on September 9th, 10th, and 11th at the Terrace Bay Recreation Centre and arena. The clinic will cover a basic introduction to Ringette stressing fundamentals, rules, skill development, game strategies and floor demonstrations. Also, a coaches and referees clinic will be given and we would encourage parents to participate in this part of the clinic. Anyone interested should contact the Recreation Office and leave your name. The hours for the clinic will be as follows: September 9th and 10th - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and September 11th - 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There is no charge for this clinic. BADMINTON CLINIC: The Ontario Badminton Association and the Terrace Bay Recrea -tion Department will sponsor an adult Badminton clinic in Ter- race Bay on September 9th. This clinic will include fundaments, game strategies and rules of Badminton. The clinic will be con ~ducted by a qualified instructor and we would encourage any adult players (16 years of age and over) to contact the Recrea -tion Office at 3542 and leave your name as soon as possible. There is no charge for this clinic. CYCLING CLINIC: We are still awaiting further information from the Ontario Cycling Association regarding the Cycling clinic to be held in Terrace Bay September 9th and 10th. The clinic will include bicycle repairs, the fun of family cycling and touring techni- ques. We would encourage people to register as soon as possible to ensure enough participants to operate the clinic. Please contact the Recreation Office at 3542. YOUTH BOWLING LEAGUE: It is the intention of the Recreation Department to form a youth bowling Teague in Terrace Bay this winter. MWe are inter -ested in knowing how many children (7 years to 14) and teena- gers (15 years to 18) would like to enter this league and how many adults would be willing to coach teams and operate the league.
