SAGE © TERRACE BAY NEWS AUGUST 2, 1978 BLOTTNER-TURNER VOWS EXCHANGED Mr. and Mrs. William John Blottner exchanged vows June 3rd, "978 in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Brantford, Ontario. The ride (formerly Phyllis Anne Turner) was given in marriage by lier father, Thomas K. Turner. The Bride wore an empire gown with bell sheer sleeves, a stand-up scalloped collar and a deep flounced hemline carried into a set-in dome train. Her headdress was a matched Juliet cap attached to a shoulder length mantilla veil, edged in the _ chantilly lace theme, matching her dress. She carried a bou- quet of cascading pink roses and white baby's breath. Dorothy Ann Roberts of Thunder Bay was Maid of Honour. Bridesmaids were Cathy DeKelver of Thunder Bay and Sally Turn- er (sister of the bride) of Hamilton. The bridesmaids wore pale pink sleeveless knit de knit dresses with floral pink chiffon ponchos and two-toned pink carnations in their hair. They carried bouquets of two-toned pink carnations and white daisies. The Best Man was Mr. Gary White of Brantford, Ont. Ushers were: Mr. Alan Turner (brother of the bride) of Mackenzie, B.C. and Mr. Don MacAlpine of Thunder Bay. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Blottner of Brantford, Ont. The bride's mother wore a mint green floral gown with long _ sheer sleeves and a corsage of yellow roses, The groom's mother wore a royal blue jersey dress with a chiffon, fall and a corsage of red roses. The reception followed at the Knight's of Columbus Hall in Brantford. Master of Ceremonies was Mr. Owen Turner (brother of the bride) of Kingsville, Ont. Toast to the Bride was given by Mr. E.S. Loree, of Toronto. The guest book was circulated by Laurie-Lynn Earl, cousin of the groom. For travelling the bride wore a mint green tunic and slack set, with an orchid corsage. The couple travelled to Florida to honeymoon for two weeks and now reside in Weston, Ontario. GUGELYK-DAKIN VOWS EXCHANGED On July 15th, 1978 Carol Joan Dakin and Robert Peter Gugelyk exchanged nuptial vows in a double ring ceremony. White mums adorned the alter as Rev. Father Murtagh offic- iated at the ceremony held in St. Martin Church. The bride is the daughter of .Mr. and Mrs. Chester Dakin and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Gugelyk of Espanola. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a baby blue gown with matching jacket and a blue flop hat. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Liz Gugelyk, sister of the groom was the bride's attendant and Kim Dakin was the brides maid. They wore long pastel- colored gowns and carried white longstemmed mums.
