WEEKLY REPORT SWIMMING POOL: August swim lessons began on Tuesday, August 1st. Class lists are posted on the Recreation Centre bulletin board and at the Swim Pool for those wishing to find out what classes they are in. A reminder there is adult swimming from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays of each week. TENNIS TOURNAMENT: Tennis tournament registrations may be made by signing up on the bulletin board at the tennis courts or on the bulletin board at the Recreation Centre. To participate in this tourna -ment, persons must be a Tennis Club member. Tennis Club memberships are available at the Recreation Office or through Albert Cadieux. MEN'S FASTBALL: Men's Fastball continues at the Mill Road diamond on Sunday evening, August 6th, with The Red Dogs playing the Terrors at 6:00 p.m. and the Greenbacks taking on the Beavers at 8:00 p.m. On Tuesday, August 8th, Rossport vs the Beavers at 6:00 p.m. and the Greenbacks play the Terrors at 8:00 p.m. Spectators are welcome. This Thursday night at the High School diamond at 7:00 p.m. there will be an exhibition game between one of the men's teams. The Slick Chicks take on the Red Dog men's team. This game begins at 7:00 p.m. and everyone is welcome. TOT LOTS: We have had various requests from residents regarding es- tablishing Tot Lots in various areas of the town. At this point, the Recreation Department is studying possible areas and will propose a 3-year plan of development for Tot Lots in Terrace Bay. SUMMER PROGRAMME EVENTS: The new Summer Programme schedule for the month of August has been distributed and if by some chance someone has been overlooked, you are asked to please drop in to the Recreation Office and pick one up. If anyone within the Terrace Bay com- munity has any items or suggestions regarding adult programmes that they would like to see started or new programmes they would Tike to participate in, they are asked to submit their names and programmes to the Recreation Office at 3542. The Terrace Bay Recreation Department at this time would like to thank everyone who contributed items towards the sca- venger hunt. The items which were collected will be used in various crafts and art programmes that will be conducted through -out the remainder of the summer. Miles Macleod, Karen Four- ' nier and Jill Marcella were the winners in the scavenger hunt with a total of 763% points. The winners each received a free pass donated by the Towne Cinema. On Friday, August 4th, the Summer Programme '78 will be con- ducting a mini bowling tournament for persons age 5 through 16.
