'§ WEEKLY REPORT Fe MINOR HOCKEY ANNUAL MEETING: The Minor Hockey annual meeting will be.held Wednesday, June 7th, in the Conference Room of the Recreation Centre at 7:00 p.m. This meeting is to select an executive for the 1978479 season and it is very important that a good turnout is on hand for this election. Support the young people of your community by participating on the executive of Minor Hockey. VET CLINIC: People who have appointments for the Vet clinic are re- quested to bring their pets to the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre through the back entrance which is located off the Curling rink parking Tot. Since the clinic starts be=- fore the regular opening hours of the Centre, this back door will be open for your convenience. A reminder to those whose pets require operations that they bring their animals in a cage or covered basket. The datés of the clinic are Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13th and 14th. MACRAME COURSE - We regret that the Macrame course offered in last week's News cannot begin because our instructress has left Terrace Bay. However, we are very interested in hearing from-anyone who feels they are capable of teaching a basic Macrame course as we now have a potential class. Come in or phone the Rec- reation Office at 3542 if you would Tike to discuss this. MEN'S FASTBALL: The schedule for the Men's Fastball league is now in opera- tion and the league began Tuesday night, June 6th, with the Thompson team vs the Technical team. There are five teams in this league and play will be held Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. at the Mill Road diamond and on Sunday nights double headers will be played beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Mill Road diamond. Anyone wishing to umpire this Teague should contact the Recreation Office at 3542. This Sunday night's games will be played as follows: 6:00 p.m. = Woods vs Pelle- tier; and 7:30 p.m. - Rossport vs Thompson. Tuesday, June 13th, at 7:00 p.m. - Thompson vs Woods. ; LADIES! FASTBALL: Remember that Ladies' Fastball takes place every Monday 'and Thursday evenings at the Mill Road diamond at 7:00 p.m. Spectators are most welcome. BOXING CLUB: Interest has been shown in forming a Boxing Club in Ter- race Bay. This club would be open to boys 10 yrs. and up and men 18 years and over. "Anyone interested in joining this activity, managing, or helping to form the club in an execu- tive capacity, should drop in or phone the Recreation Office at 3542 and leave their names. YOUTH | NCORPORATED: Our newly-formed Youth Club is to be congratulated for the very successful Disco Dance they staged at the Moose Hall last Saturday night. There were approximately 200 - young people in attendance and from all reports this activity was a total success. Thanks should be conveyed to the numer- ous people who gave of their time to chaperone, the Loyal Order of Moose for the donations of their hall and providing refreshments, and to the Terrace Bay Police Force for their assistance with the operation of the dance. MINOR BALL: : This is a reminder that Minor Ball takes place every Mon- . day through Thursday evening at the high school ball field. Encourage our players by coming out to watch the games.
