The schedules are distributed and anyone who did not re- ceive a copy would be able to pick one up at the Recreation Offi ce. : . : The first game in the Girls League saw the Bears play the Dodgers and the Bears won with a score of 20-7. The first scheduled game for the bays 7 to 9 years will take place on Tuesday, May 30th, at 6:00 p.m. and the first scheduled game for boys 10 to 14 years took place on Tuesday, May 23rd, but at the time of this write-up the game had not yet been played. LADVES SOFTBALL: ~~. : Ladies Softball league play started Monday, May 22nd, with Team 4 edging Team 2 by a score of 9-8. Teams 1 and 3 will play this Thursday night. Ladies League games are played Mon. and Thurs. nights at 7 o'clock at the Mill Road ball field. MINOR HOCKEY ANNUAL MEETING: Due to a poor turnout last Wednesday night, elections for a new Minor Hockey-exeeutive did not take place. Another meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7th, in the Conference Room at 7:00 p.m. 1t is essential that an executive for next winter's Minor Hockey season be fomed and all interested persons are urged to attend this meeting... REMEMBER....WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7. BALL HOCKEY: Every Tuesday night, Men's Ball Hockey takes place in the arena at 7:00 p.m. and we are experiencing very good turnouts but there is still room for more players. Persons wishing to watch this game in action are welcome at no charge. SUPERIOR MINOR SOCCER ASSOCIATION: Registration is still open for anyone interested in playing Soccer. Come prepared to play in the arena on Wednesday nights at 7 o'clock. Ages are 12 and under, 13 - 15 and 16 - 18. Registration fee is $5.00 per player and a maximum of $10.00 per family. The under 12 age group will be travelling to Man- itouwadge this weekend to compete in a one-day Soccer Touma- ment. TENNIS CLUB: A membership drive is now on and Tennis players wishing to join may do so by contacting Albert Cadieux, Janet Jaffary or register at the Recreation Office. Tennis memberships should be paid by June 15th. As from that date, members will have pre ferred court time. TENNIS CLINIC: Next week we hope to form classes for the upcoming Tennis Clinic. People who have already shown interest will be called and anyone still interested in taking this clinic should phone the Recreation Office at 3542, MACRAME COURSE: : Some interest has been shown in an introductory Macrame course for the month of June. Anyone who would like to take this course may contact the Recreation Office and leave their names. 1978 RECREATION DISCS The membership discs for the 1978-79 Recreation year have been received and will be ready for distribution by next Mon- day. Come to the Recreation Office to pick up your discs at that time and please bring last year's discs with you. ROLLER SKATING: 2 It is our intention to-operate a Roller Skating programme this summer in the arena. Watch the News for further informa ~tion.
