PENNER MP FOR FEDERAL COCHRANE RIDING Thunder Bay MPP Kei th Penner, known to many Terrace Bay ~ residents, won the support of Liberal delegates at a conven- tion in Hearst, April 21st and 22rd, and will be a candidate in the next election, representing the newly-expanded federal Cochrane riding. ; Penner will be replacing Ralph Stewart, who has chosen to withdraw from the nomination race in order to spend more time with his family. Gaetan Ouellette of Kapuskasing was Penner's only opposi- tion. Final vote tallies were not divulged.
