They are: Floyd Harnden, Henry Schroeder, Dave |ddison, Roger Alty, Agnes | ddison, Mary Burnett and Patsey Campbell. Mac Hubelit offered the use of his pumps and hose to the organization until they have been able to obtain their own which was gratefully accepted. Walter Gerow offered the use of a couple of reels he had on hand for ths hose. Mrs. Jack Campbell, chaiman of the entertainment committee gave a resume of events planned to raise funds. Mac 'Hubelit moved the meeting be adjourned and a directors meeting followed immediately. CELIA VALENTINO HONOURED Celia Valentino, who has been with the local post office staff since 1968 as regular member and prior to that as part- time worker during rush seasons, retired on April 22nd and was honoured by the staff. At a dinner in a local restaurant, she was presented with a special delivery letter marked Yinsufficient postage! which contained a cheque and good wishes Also contributing to this gift were former employees with whom Celia had worked - postmaster Russell Macadam, Elema Haapa and Saima Willoughby. Celia had the unique distinction of working under two post=- masters, Mr. Macadam and Barbara McLaughlin, the present post- master. In addition to Barbara Mclaughlin, postmaster; Joanne Webb, assistant postmaster were Betty Baxter, Arline Hamel and Mrs. Valentino's family. After the dinner the group went on to Mrs. Valentino's home for the evening, when her grandson Mark Valentino presented a gift from the family. To mark the occasion of her last day of work, Celia sold the last stamp, before closing to Barbara McLaughlin. After the wickets were closed and mail finished, the staff enjoyed an informal coffee hour with Celia, when a special cake suitably marked, was presented to her.
