Miller of Schreiber with Don Davey, Principal of The Lake Superior Public School, Schreiber. Campus. Each year, students are selected from across Ontario to serve as pages in the Ontario Legislature. Candidates can be either male or female, a grade seven or eight student and have an 80% average, and be able to provide their own accommodation in Toronto. It was quite an honour to be approached by J. Stokes, Speak-| er for the House, and asked if we had a potential candidate to act as a page. : 05 fay 1, 1978, hits Miller, a grade seven cludent on the Schreiber Campus, will begin iis work in the Legislature. Chris will be in Toronto for 6 - 7. weeks and will stay with the Alex McCuaig family, Mr. McCuaig is formerly from Schrei- ber and now works with the Ministry of Education in Toronto. This will be a tremendous experience for Chris and we Took forward to meeting him in the Legislature when the grade 8's from Lake Superior Public School visit the Legislature on their trip at the end of May. - -- D. Davey KINETTE FASHION SHOW A SUCCESS Mary Speziale was the general convener of the very success- ful Fashion Show of the Schreiber Kinettes. The Hudson's Bay store supplied the fashions. The floral arrangement was won by Louise Guillet and the handbag by Laureen Kay. 5 The models included Cary Anderson, Julie Specials, 0. Cour- temanche, Cory Miller, Christopher Blais, Mark Figliomeni, Nicole Gauthier, Leslie Moore, Sandy Quinton, Lise Billec, Gladys Hamilton and Dave Kay. Background music was supplied by Doug Hoore. Diane Figliomeni was the commentator for the show. Ruth Ann Birch convened ticket sales and advertising; Brenda Birch arranged the decorations; Lurleen Blais was in charge of make-up; Eva Gordon and Pat Moore were in charge of the coffee break; Edythe €osgrove, Joyce Gilmore and Beulah * Grover were in charge of the models and Eirene Harness sold tickets. JUNIOR ART CLUB EXHIBITS Colleen Glad, an art instructor for the past four years, : is very proud of her Junior Art Club class which meets on 2 Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. This year, the class is being assisted by Pat Beno and Gwen Hadley. The thirty-two exhibits by these children in grades four to eight being displayed in the Public Library are arousing much interest and admiration by the general public.
