PAGE 14 TERRACE BAY NEWS MARCH 22, 19783 == HUARD: Funeral services for the late Arthur Roy Huard, whose death occured in Toronto General Hospital on March 7, 1978, after a lengthy illness, were held in Holy Angels Church, Schreiber, on March 10, Father F,J. Meyer officiating, intern- ment in Schreiber Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ted Winters, John McGrath, George Chabot, Lonny Connelly, Rick Spadoni and Paul Martin. Honorary pallbearers were Morgan McGrath, Gerard McGrath, Bill Smilsky, Craig Fischer, Mark Tramblay, Carson Fischer, Bob Nesbitt, Joey Speziale and Joey Maronese. Surviving are his parents, Art and Betty Huard; four sisters, Betty Ann (Mrs. Maurice Blier), Linda, Barbara and Carol all of Schreiber; grandparents, Mrs. Jeanne Huard and Mr. A.B. McCuaig; many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Roy, who was 23 years old, was born in Terrace Bay, receiv- ed his education in Holy Angels School and Schreiber High School. He graduated from Lakehead University Business Dip- loma Course in 1976,. At the time of his death he was a Bis- iness Degree student at Lakehead University. Roy was active in sports in his High School years, being a member of the Golden Hawks Basketball team, also Cross Country Running and Badminton. He was chosen to represent Schreiber High School at the Ontario Athletic Leadership Camp at Lake Couchiching in 1971. His first love was nature and the outdoors, and he spent much of his leisure time fishing. : Attending the funeral, from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Armand Huard of North Bay; Mrs. Edward Orchard of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta; Miss Diane Huard and Mr. Terry Dohanich of Calgary, Alberta; Mrs. Bill Hancharek of Mississauga; Mrs. Brian Hewson of Smith Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Van oud Huesden of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Lonny Connelly of London; Carson Fischer, Pual Caccamo and Mary Jo Ryan all of Sault Ste Marie; Mr. and Mrs. Tom McCuaig, Cam McCuaig, Myrna McCuaig, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCuaig, Dale, Cheryl and Karen, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Payette, Mr. George Chabot, Mr. Joey Detuce and Mr. Bill Smilsky all of Thunder Bay; Mr. Brett ficEwen of Red Rock along with many freinds from Terrace Bay and the immediate district. : NORTH SHORE BRIDGE CLUB: Nine players turned out at last Sunday's Bridge Club. LEGION AUXILIARY MEETING Margo Davis, Anne Condie, and Lendra Condie were received into membership, at the March meeting of the Women's Auxil- ® © iary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 109, Schreiber, by Georgina Davis, president. The birthday party of the auxiliary was changed to the date of Saturday, May 20th. The dinner will be for members but, the social evening following will be open to the public. A penny auction was planned for April. Rena Ross was named second delegate to the district meeting in Red Rock.
