RINGETTE : The girls playing ringette this year had their first taste of competition in a tourna- ment at Terrace Bay over the weekend of Jan. 7th & 8th. The girls kept their spirits high through out the two days and were recognized by the tournament officials. Cathy Mulligan was awarded a prize for being the MVP in a game with Terrace Bay, Elena Speziale was awarded for her efforts in getting to the penalty box the most times. We should be proud of the girls who played well for the first time out, the team practises each Sunday from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. NORTH SHORE MINOR HOCKEY: The Marathon Peewees will be in: Schreiber on January 21st at 1:30 p.m. to play our Schreiber Peewees. NORTH SHORE JUNIOR HOCKEY : Marathon Action A's will be in Schreiber on Jan. 19th, 1978. Game time is 8:30 p.m. On Saturday the 21st of January the North Stars host to Nipigon, beginning at 7:30 p.m. PUBLIC SKATING: On Saturday afternoons and evenings Public Skating has been cancelled because of no par- ticipation.
