Gloria Mullins presented a Bible to Norah McGuire for her work as repres- entative on the Diocesan Council, of which she now is the past president. 5 Members favoured presenting a donation to the Save a Family: Plan instead of exchanging gifts. A discussion was held regarding sending two youths to Avila Centre to attend a Teenage Encounter program. A Christmas gift was presented to Senior Citizens at Birchwood Terrace and lunch was served.. & A substantial donation was made to Holy Angels Church. The kitchen committee for the annual Parish Social was chosen. : Following the meeting a Christmas social evening was enjoyed when Maureen McGrath and Wendy Ray played guitar and sang several songs. Doug Moore led in the round of Christ -mas carols. Lunch was served by Mary Valen- tino, Carla Maronese and Lise Beauparlant. SCHREIBER SOCIAL: It was a quiet Christmas in Schreiber - mostly occupied with family gatherings, among which were the family of Art and Irene Moorey = Mr. and Mrs. Phil Moorey of Thunder Bay with children Andrew and Ian; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Moorey with children Richard and Julie of Saskatoon; D'Arcy of Ottawa and Paul at home. Joining in the party were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cook = the boys' aunt Patsy and their family. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Byrene of St. John's Newfoundland were here for Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Zboroski (their daughter Carmel) and will spend the winter with them.
