I would like to take this opportunity, to thank my Brothers and Sister in the United Paperworkers International Union Local 665, who gave me their support in the recent Union elections. It is not possible for me to offer you any promises, with the exception of one, that I will perform the duties of my office, to the best of my ability. To the other two new members, who have joined the Executive of this Local, Brothers George Dashkewytch and Ted Kostiuk, I welcome you to the Local Executive, and look forward to working with you in this Locals endeavours of 1978. ; : As we are all probably aware, the upcoming year, is a negotiation year. There are two unpleasant factors, that will probably plague us all, our infamous friends, the Anti-Infla- tion Board and a more recent development, a substantial decrease in the price of a ton of pulp. Hopefully, both of these aforementioned items, will no longer exist by the time this Local and Kimberly-Clark meet at the bargaining table, to formulate a new collective agree- ment. In conclusion, I wish to extend to my brothers and sisters in Local 665 and Local 1861, and to the Management and staff of Kim- berly-Clark, a Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year. (signed) George M. Churney President Local 665 United Paperworkers International Union oO of this Holy To wish you the Season. : Sincere STUART 3 oh gratitude.
