PAGE 16 TERRACE BAY NEWS DECEMBER 7, 1977 SCHREIBER PARKS AND RECREATION COLUMN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CURLING: The mechanics for the after school curling league for students of grade 7 & 8 has been completed. A schedule of draws and selection of teams (mixed boys and girls) from both schools will be made available to those interested, by . Friday, December 23rd, 1977. Your draws will be on Monday and Wednesday beginning at 4 p.m. sharp each day. The first game will be Wednesday, January 3,:1978. All will be expected to have the proper curling dress and equipment; to follow the curling courtesy and sportmanship regulations. Those serious will be called together on Monday, December 12, 1977 at 4 p.m. at the Curling Club to go over Club regulations; sportmanship, basic game rules. Further information will come to you as it develops. SCHREIBER NEW ARENA: There will be a public meeting held at the Schreiber High School gymnasium on Monday, December 12, 1977 at 7:30 p.m. The public will have the chance to see the new arena floor plan, hear construction costs, where grants are coming from, .location of fac- ility, amount of money needed to be raised, type of facility, fund raising events. All are urged to attend this meeting, pro or con, it is important you hear what is to happen and has taken place. The fund raising will be a 50/50 draw. Winner to be drawn on Dec. 22, at the Junior Hockey Bingo.
