ANNIVERSARY SUPPER About sixty-five ladies gathered together on Monday night, November 14, 1977 in St. Mar- tin's Parish Hall to celebrate the 25th anniv- ersary of the founding of the Catholic Women's League Parish Council in Terrdce Bay. Father Greengrass celebrated Mass at 6:30 p.m., assisted by Father Meyers. After Mass, the ladies retired to the Parish Hall where they were served a lovely smorgasbord supper by Fay Figliomeni. Father Meyer said grace and Mrs. Lillian Belliveau, president of this years council gave the Toast to the Queen. She also welcomed all the ladies as well as the Rev. Director, Father Meyers and the past dir- ector Father Greengrass, who drove from Dryden, Ontario. : Names of the ladies on the original charter were read out and a minute silence was held for deceased members and Fr. Raeniche, the first Director. A standing ovation was given to Mrs. Norma Cavanaugh who was the first presi- dent and is a fifty year member. Twenty-five pins were to have been distri- buted to about twenty ladies but they had not arrived on time. A flute was solo was rendered by Aline Syposz, accompanied by Mrs. Betty Hanley on the piano.
