NOVEMBER 23, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS - PAGE 21 IN MEMORIAM: MULLINS In loving memory of a dear son and brother, Lanny who passed away on November 22nd, 1975. My heart still aches with sadness, And secret tears still flow; What it meant to lose you No one will ever know. They say time heals all sorrow, And helps us to-forget, But time so far has only proved How much | miss you yet. Sadly missed by Mom, Dad and Kevin. ASSORTMENT OF ANTIQUES DISPLAYED At the November meeting of the Schreiber Women's Institute, Constable Don Anderson, OPP, spoke on highway safety and the structure and proper use of safety belts. He also men- tioned the conversion of all speed and dis- tance signs on Ontario highways to metric, as 'part of the overall Federal Government metric program now in use in most countries in the world. He showed a film regarding seatbelts. Mrs. Ann Todesco presided for the meeting and a minute silence was observed in tribute to Remembrance Day. The motto for the meeting was"God's plan for the earth is not turmoil,.but peace". Mrs: Winnie Clemens read an appropriate article. Roll was answered by naming buildings in Schreiber before 1941, many of which still exist but have changed in appearance and con- tent. A letter of appreciation was read from the McCausland Hospital Board; a note fifom Mrs. Frances Pajakamki and information was received regarding Achievement Days for the Project Dairy Fair in Thunder Bay. In her report on Consumer Affairs, Mrs. Annie Niemi mentioned many home accidents were caused by chemicals and the care that must be taken in handling flammable liquids. Mrs. Todesco had on display a large assort- ment of antiques - bottles which had been unearthed from her yard in Rossport. She gave an interesting account of the origin and use of these bottles. They were of many colours, sizes, and :shapes. ; Members were pleased with the result of their recent bake sale. This was convened by Mrs. Todesco, Mrs. Margaret Spillane and Mrs. Betha Miller. Following the meeting, a social hour was enjoyed. C.P.R.
