Gene Ross was chairman of the event and Mike Cosgrove the M.C. The judges for the costume prizes were Susan May of Toronto, " Theresa Zaporzan'of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba and Madge Atkinson, a new-comer to Schreiber. First prize was won by Fire Hydrants - Jocelyn Gillett and Cathy Willan. Second prize went to Wizard of Oz characters - Dale Riley as the Scarecrow, Jewel Riley as the Tinman and Laureen Kay as the Lion. Third 'prize went to the Chickens - Ann Tack, Mary Anderson, Lurleen Blais, Brenda Birch and Terry Lynn Birch. j Honourable mentions were given to Big Birad, Count Dracula, A and W Root Beer and Co., and . the Dominoes. Eric Glad won the colour telédvision and Terry Armstrong, The Texas Micky and Danny Riley the door prize.
