A charge of careless driving has been. laid and damages Were estimat- ed at $2,800.00. ; Police also laid three charges under the Liquor Licence Act. Three disturbances were! attended at a local drinking establishment and "three complaints of dangerous use of a firearm were investigated. NORTH OF SUPERIOR R.C.S.S. BOARD MEETING: The North of Superior District Roman Cathol- ic Separate School Board held its regular meet- ing on Saturday, October 15, 1977 in Red Rock. Approval was given to the minutes of Regular Board Meeting No. 7/77 and to the payment of bills for the month of September, 1977. The Aims and Objectives Committee will hold a week-end session in the near future to draft a position paper on the aims of The North of Superior District R.C.S.S. Board. The policy on Extended Leave revised October 15, 1977 was approved. The Board accepted the resignation of Trus- tee M. Nicol, with regret, effective December 31, 1977. An ad will appear in the 'local paper seeking a replacement for the vacant trusteeship. The position, for a ong year term, would become effective January 1, 1978. A report was distributed to the Trustees on regular community use of the schools. The next Regular Board Meeting will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 1977 at 10:00 a.m. | in St. Brigid School, Nakina. TS. SCHREIBER SOCIAL: Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Holland had their daugh ~ter, Elda from Wellesly Hospital, Toronto, and Maxine from Western University, London, for Thanksgiving. Also joining the Hollands' reunion was an aunt, Mrs. Frank McLean (former - Josie Holland) from Boston, Mass.; a brother Bill Holland and wife from Uranium City, Sask.; a cousin Mrs. Winnifred Foley from Moncton, New Brunswick; a cousin Agnes Taylor from Montreal and Dennis Neylon =-- an old family friend who had just returned from a holiday to his old home town in Innis, Ireland. y Mrs. Lillie Legault of Montreal has spent .*- the past two weeks visiting her mother, Mrs. Agnes Bryson, in Birchwood Home in Terrace Bay, and other relatives in Schreiber and Terrace Bay.
