LOCAL LADIES DEFEAT BRYANS NINE: The Terrace Bay ladies Softball team is slowly becoming an outfit to be contended with in the Thunder Bay District. On labour Day they took the highly-rated Bryans team from the Lakehead into camp by a score of 18 - 8, Congratulations, girls! KINSMEN CLUB OF TERRACE BAY BEGINS CLEARING ON HOSPITAL SITE During the past two weeks, the Kinsmen Club of Terrace Bay has been engaged in the brushing of the proposed hospital site. All the small shrubs and trees were removed to facilitate a more extensive clearing when the construction is started. 'Mr. Paul Mathew, the hospital administrator attended and viewed the progress. Mr. Mathew also participated in the brushing and was quite adept with the use of a brush axe. The Kinsmen Club will be selling the birch that is being cut from the proposed driveway. PARTICIPACTION B® 20 YEARS AG O - OCTOBER 3, 1957 The Community Church of Terrace Bay was eandle-1it and decorated with bouquets of gladioli and mums Friday, Sept. 27th for the marriage of Judith Yvonne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Boutilier of Bedford, Nova Scotia and Eric Roland, son of Mr, and Mrs. William Sheppard, Fairview, N.S. In the beautiful sylvan setting of Terrace Bay a Cenotaph was unveiled and dedicated on Saturdey afternoon. The cer= emony was distinguished by an importance attached to the event not often observed in similar rites. : Miss Joan Hopper to be Terrace Bay's Entry - Miss Ontario Credit Union. Joan, a local High School student, age 15, 512" tall submitted two copies of a heed and shoulder pro=- file flash camera picture, which have been forwarded to the Credit Union's Toronto Office and will be entered in the "Miss Ontario" finals.
