SEPTEMBER 28, 1977 TERRACE BAY. NEWS PAGE 15 TAYLOR - KENNEY VOWS EXCHANGED Miss Colleen Kenney, only daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Ray Kenney of Rossport, exchanged marriage vows with Gordon Taylor, son of Mr, and Mrs, George Taylor of Abbotsford, B.Co on Saturday, August I3th, I977 at 4:00 p.m. in & double ring ceremony in St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholis Church, Terrace Bay. Reverend Father J. Meyer of Schreiber and Rossport was the officiating clergy for the happy event. The Bride given in marriage by her father, wore a gown "of off-white chiffon fashioned in princess lines and the long roses, baby breath -and fern. sleeves and gown were trimmed with inserts of satin and Irish lace. The bodice had tiny self covered buttons from the square neokline that had lace trim, The matching weil fell to a graceful train from a bandeau made of lace trimmed with Irish lace medallions set with seed pearls. She wore the Grooms gift of a dainty ornamental lace~like silver necklace set with pearls and cerried ea semi-cascade bouquet of yellow White satin sandals completed her ensemble. Sue Kearns was the maid of honour and the bridesmaids were Kristine Scott and Paulette Nicol, The flower girl, niece of the groom was Kristia Scott. They all wore similier gowns fashioned on the princess lines with metoching capes made from Swiss dotted muslin in pastel shades of pink and blue, match- ' ing shoes and carried nosegays of daisies tinted 0 match » their gowns, The Groom was attended by his best man, Howard Duff. The ushers were Rick Walker and the Bride's brother Danny Kenney. The soloist was Evangline Larson and the organist was Celine ® The Wedding Supper, smorgasbord style, was held in the Moose Hall, Terrace Bay with the Bride's aunt, Mrs. Doris Legault as dining room hostess, The Bride's uncle Leo Kenney was Master of Ceremonies, The Toast to the Bride was given by her uncle Lester Legault with the Groom responding, The Master of Ceremonies read many messages and telegrams of ocon- gratulations from friends and relatives who were umable to attend the function, A reception and dence followed with music by the Commisso Brothers of Schreiber, During the evening the Bride and Groom distributed individually wrapped wedding cake to their guests, The wedding cake was make by Mrs. N, Peterson of Kelowma, B.C., a close friend of the Bride who had collected the fruit for the cake while visiting the Hawaian Islands. The tiered cake has a tall pillared decoration on top with flowers and a miniature Bride and Groem, The Bride's Mother chose a floor length two piece gown in ° peacock blue polyester crepe trimmed with ostrich feather. Her corsage was of yellow tea roses, The Groom's Mother chose a two peice floor length gown of sheer: polyester floral in shades of pink and rose. Her corsage was of gold roses. The Bridal couple left on a honeymoon to Hawaii. The Bride wore a two peice white orimpline jump suit and red roses for a corsage. The Groom travelled in & beige and brown out= fit. They plan a home in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to her wedding, the Bride was entertained at a shower in Kelowna, B.C. and one in Rossport by relatives and friends. The Groom was entertained at a stag by friends in Kelowna, Among those attending from out of town were Sue Kearns of Kelowna, B.C; Kristine Scott of Winnipeg; Paulette Nicol, Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor, Abbottsford, B.C; Mrs. Gven Olsen, Kamloops; Eric and Diane Pyntello, Thunder Bay; Mrs. Esther Seppala, Thunder Bay; Joyce and Ron lanigan of Nipigon; Kaye OfKeefe, Montreal; Mr, and Mrs, Howard Duff, Smithers B.C.; Rick Walker, Jackie Roth, Brenda Ewart, Kelowna; Mr. and Mrs, Ted Petrus, Kapuskasing; Mr, and Mrs, Lyle Nicol, Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kenney and Cathy Kenny of Deep River; Mr. and Mrs. David Kilfolyle and Jona- thon, Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Scott and Krista Scott, Kitimat; Mr. and Mrs. Chas Wilde and family, Azilda; and - several relatives and freinds of the area.
