PAGE 14 TERRACE BAY NEWS SCHREIBER PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING: The trustees of the Schreiber Public Libra- ry Board, at their regular monthly meeting, made arrangements to remove the remaining ply- wood shelves and replace them with the newly arrived Lundea units. This completes the pro- ject to modernize the library which was start- ed three years ago. Plans were made to continue the study of other Regional libraries' statements of poli- cies in order to complete and print the Schrei ~ber Public Library's objectives. The Youth Groups 'Memorabilia 1974' gave the Board written permission to add to the History of Schreiber Book - "Journey to Yester -day". The original context will not be changed and the new editions will be ready in the spring of 1978. The Canadian Wildlife Membership was renew- ed and thirteen law booklets were ordered from the Toronto Community Law Program. Mrs. Eva Gordon, the librarian, will attend the Regional Conventional in Thunder Bay on September 23rd & 24th. The Chimo Club resumed its regular meetings on September 16th, with Helen Wallace presid- ing. She welcomed Mrs. Etta Gray, the new club custodian and the many members attending. The minutes and regular reports were adopt- ed as read. Each member is asked to donate two or three items to the Christmas: bazaar. A letter was received notifying the Club of the .Northwestern Ontario Alliance convention being held in Thunder Bay on October 4 & 5th. A note of thanks was received from Birch- wood Terrace for dinner and visit there by the Club during the summer. Mrs. Wallace thanked four members for cash donations to the club. A Home Bingo was plan- ned to start on Friday, September 23rd. Mrs. Wallace also announced Noreen Johnston, of Kakabeka Falls has offered to demonstrate the use of cosmetics "Fashion 220" in the Club on September 25th, at 2 p.m. Birthday greetings were sung to several members. " Bern Jacomb, Winnie Clemens and Beth Maca- dam were named as a nominating committee. Following the October meeting a penny auc- tion will be enjoyed and a masquerade party. After the meeting bridge and whist were played, winners being - Bridge, high - Helen Wallace; low - Etta Gray. Whist - high - Dora Weaver, low - Eileen Rouble. - A potluck lunch ended the evening.
